Mix& Match

Leaders and Followers sign up individually. In the prelims you will dance with more than one partner and to different tempos. Individuals will be chosen by the judges to dance the final.

This is a Lindy Hop competition. You will be judged on technique, musicality and ability to create partnership. Judges will be looking for dancers that can adapt to and complement their partners while keeping the integrity of their own dancing. In the finals you will be randomly paired and judged as couples.

The Battle of Rome - Strictly Lindy Hop with a hint of jazz

Dancers sign up as couples. In the prelims you will dance to songs of different tempos. Couples will be chosen by the judges to dance the final.

This is a Lindy Hop competition. Judges will reward partnership, technique, ability to improvise to the music and performance skills. Prepared choreographed elements and airsteps are accepted, but will only be rewarded if done musically and within the dance. .

This competition is open for any level of dancers.

Authentic Jazz

Both in the prelims and the Finals you will dance in all skates first and then as a jam format. You will dance on different tempos on dj music. Finalists will be chosen by the judges to dance the finals. You will be judged on musicality and technique. This competition is open for any level of dancers.


Registration

Competitors do not need a full weekend pass to participate, a party pass holder is also accepted.

Note that the registration online is only a pre-registration.
At the festival, you also have to pick up your number. The competition desk is open between 19.00 and 20.00 on Friday 7th of February in Brancaccio Palace.
Be early, competition registration is ONLINE ONLY and closes at 19.00 on February 7th.

Prelims for all competitions will be held on Friday evening at 21.00 in Gala Hall – Finals on Saturday evening during the party.

All competitors should be present at the competitors meeting and check in with the Contest Coordinator 10 minutes before prelims and finals in Gala Hall.

A couple consists of one lead and one follow. Leaders may be any gender. Followers may be any gender
